Puma Golf’s Rise Up collection is ready to make a statement. The new, blazing-neon line includes three pairs of golf shoes and two of the brand’s popular P Caps. For footwear, the options range from an ultra-modern mismatched pair of the RS-G “dad” golf shoes to an energetic version of the athletic Ignite Pwradapt Caged shoe to the brand’s classic Ignite Proadapt Shoe with a unique neon leather look.
The Rise Up Snapback Golf Hat ($35) comes in two glowing color options. Each has a contrasting brim that matches the outline on the Puma “P” logo and the button on top of the cap. Puma calls the colors “Fizzy Yellow” and “NRGY Peach” and credits the “brilliant accomplishments” of the Puma athletes as inspiration for the collection.
Rickie Fowler is expected to wear the classic Ignite Proadapt Shoes ($240) in the bright new colorway this week in Memphis. The Rise Up remix is mostly yellow-green neon on the leather front and top portion of the shoe with pink at the heel. Fowler and fellow Puma golfers Bryson DeChambeau and Gary Woodland are set to auction off a signed pair of shoes from the Rise Up Collection following the first round of the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational to raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Likely the easiest look to pull off of the footwear in this collection is the Rise Up Ignite Pwradapt Caged golf shoe ($190). The athletic, sneaker-like shoe is suited for hits of neon at the foot-cradling saddle, secure heel lock cup and on the full-length foam platform midsole. The color fades from pink at the toe to green-yellow through the laces and heel. The traction-filled outsole also has a fun, fading composition.
Like them or not, the Puma RS-G chunky golf shoes are here to stay. After a successful launch in June, the brand released a patriotic version around the July fourth holiday and is now dropping a bold neon version. The limited-edition RS-G Rise Up Golf Shoes ($150) have alternating colors for the right and left shoe. The right has a pink neon upper with a yellow-green neon midsole and the left shoe is the reverse pattern. This is about as big of a statement you can make on the golf course, so style these appropriately by wearing an ultra-simple outfit like black joggers or a basic short and solid top.
Puma is known for dropping unique products around tournaments and events. Some items—like the Ignite Pwradapt Caged Stars and Stripes Golf Shoes or the Arnold Palmer Rope Hat—are clear on what inspired the design, while others—like the Ignite Proadapt TournAMENt Golf Shoes or the Ignite Pwradapt Caged Love/Haight Golf Shoes—have more subtle design elements.
